COUPAR has particularly enjoyed collaborating with Yost Quesada team member Sage Penkin, who has her finger on the pulse in the real estate realm.

It would have been natural for COUPAR Studio Design Director Julia Marani to have chosen a career in the more "serious" field of architecture. Her father, Grant Marani, is a partner at RAMSA; her mother, Anne Rieselbach, is the Program Director of The Architectural League of New York; her brother, Matthew Marani, is an editor at Architectural Record. Instead, the native New Yorker chose an adjacent path in interior design and now works on both the COUPAR Studio and COUPAR Design sides.

As a Principal at COUPAR, Teresa Kintz sets the aesthetic and operational tone for the company, bridging interior design and tech. Teresa oversees both COUPAR Studio and COUPAR Design and has implemented a high level of organization while keeping a holistic vision for the design process to streamline the client experience.

COUPAR’s Lead Project Manager, Monica Eng, is approaching two years with our studio team. A San Francisco native from the Richmond District, Monica has a B.S. in mechanical engineering from Boston University and an A.S. in Interior Design from Canada College.

San Francisco native Callahan Foley has been with COUPAR for over three years. With a marketing background, she brings a different perspective to her role as Design Associate. Callahan’s skills are critical for the team since interior design relies heavily on client, vendor, and collaborator communications. She also enthusiastically embraces all the different design styles COUPAR works in for our clients while favoring Mad Men mid-century.

Design Associate Wyatt Shigley started as a Design Assistant at COUPAR a little over three years ago. Wyatt segued effortlessly into the role with a B.A.S. in Interior Design from Colorado State University and nearly nine years of visual merchandising experience. One of his current projects is a four-story Pacific Heights Edwardian designed by Julius Kraft, and another is a contemporary ranch house in Portola Valley.

Lead Project Manager Mary Eaton has been with COUPAR for over four years and comes from an interior design background. After receiving a Bachelor of Science degree in Interior Design from High Point University in North Carolina, she immersed herself in the industry, working at various San Francisco Bay Area firms. Now she is a vital asset to our Studio team, helping guide projects from beginning to end.

Senior Lead Designer Paige Bellante has been with COUPAR for over three years and nimbly transferred her skills in visual merchandising to interior design. The Northern California native worked for companies such as Anthropologie and Nordstrom for eight years.

With the success of this year's San Francisco Fall Show, COUPAR predicts antiques are back after a long hiatus. While during the eighties, nineties, and early 21st century, the one percent couldn't get enough of the rarest, most esoteric furnishings and objets d'art, the Great Recession plunged us into a gray world of visual austerity. But now, due to the COVID-19 pandemic and supply chain problems, buying off the floor is an excellent solution for interior designers.

Creative Director, Tricia Kerr, has been an integral part of COUPAR since the company’s inception. She holds a degree in Architecture and Community Design from the University of San Francisco and brings a wealth of knowledge and experience in website development and marketing.

Gary Hutton is known as the "Dean of West Coast Design." He grew up on his grandmother's apple ranch in Watsonville, studying studio art with iconic 20th-century artists Wayne Thiebaud, Manuel Neri, and Robert Arneson at UC Davis. Coming to the Bay Area, he completed his design degree at the California College of the Arts. This diverse background that bridges rural with urban and juxtaposes the obvious with the esoteric is what makes Gary's work unique.

For the last five years, Lead Project Manager Lisandra Caro-Torres has handled the nuts and bolts of COUPAR Studio. She is responsible for sending out purchase orders, ensuring the accuracy of invoices before handing them off to accounting, receiving and processing all vendor documents, tracking goods ordered or services contracted, and handling all related documentation. Wow!
