Kesha Franklin of Halden Interiors’ Effortlessly Elegant Spaces

New York, full-service design firm, Halden Interiors is attracting well-deserved attention from all corners of the design industry. Founded and led by talented principal designer, Kesha Franklin, Halden is transforming a wide array of commercial and residential spaces on both coasts.

Franklin's father's extensive Architectural Digest and GQ Magazine collections first drew her to the design world and its artistic elements. This early exposure to esteemed art, interiors, and menswear set the stage for her creative career. She also has a professional background in high fashion, serving as the backstage production manager and wardrobe stylist for the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week.

It wasn't until she connected with a prominent New York City architect who saw her innate design eye that she ventured into the interior design sphere. After collaborating on a restaurant design project with the architecture firm, she decided design was the route for her. She then founded the boutique firm, "The Beautiful Experience" in 2006.

Halden Interiors is The Beautiful Experience rebranded and rings truer than ever to Franklin's statement style. She and her team's effortlessly elegant interiors uphold an impressive level of sophistication and luxury. Past projects consist of a range from an urban loft or city pied-a-terre to a countryside single-family residence—one of her most notable houses being her San Jose Estate, home to Colin Kaepernick.

Designers have been working to adapt to these new, strange times. Kesha Franklin has been staying connected by launching a new design talk series, "Halden Live," on Instagram. Franklin invites her followers to "meet her in the living room" and discuss anything from the crucial elements of a light fixture to her color picks for Summer 2020. She has hosted a variety of guests such as her beautiful daughter, Kabriah Asha, and celebrity event planner, Kathy Romero.
