Happy May from Team Coupar! The month of May, named for the Roman goddess of Spring, Maia, represents a time of renewal and is the perfect occasion to explore innovative new design.
Happy April from Team Coupar! The name for the month comes from the Latin verb aperire, "to open." Along with the opening of Spring flowers, the 2018 San Francisco Decorator Showcase debuts on April 28. Driving along Marina Blvd the Mediterranean style house stops traffic with painter A.J. Oishi's Delaunay-esque art installation on the exterior.
From pagan times Spring has been a season of renewal after the cold darkness of Winter. To celebrate, the Norse goddess Freya transversed the sky in her golden chariot drawn by two blue cats. In her wake, she left sunrays and spring flora. Here at Coupar, our studio and communications teams find light and flowers in the form of fresh and innovative interior design.
It’s hard to believe that the first two months of 2018 are almost done. Like many companies, we spend the first couple of months planning out the year as a team, and with FOG and other industry events, there’s always something inspiring to look forward to attending. Showcase starts to get underway and there is a buzz in the community.
The change of seasons has arrived and COUPAR is ready to fall in love with autumn all over again. We are pulling out our favorite knit throws, layering ourselves and our interiors with warm tones and textures, and for those of us that are so inclined, we now have an excuse to bring on the controversial pumpkin spice.
Design San Francisco 2017 is here and we feel that there’s no better time to honor our city’s vibrant community of creatives. We are so pleased with the phenomenal turnout at #girlboss, a celebration of three female innovators and their latest product collections, moderated by our own Krista Coupar.
