Jackson Square Design Walk

On February 28, 2019, Coupar attended the annual Jackson Square Walk, which explores the eclectic design of Jackson Square. Hundreds of members of the community came out to celebrate this after-hours event with hosts: Simon Breitbard Fine Arts, Interface, William Stout Architectural Books, Inside Source Inc., Fritz Hansen, Clive Christian Furniture Co., Maharam Studio, The Rug Company, and Allermuir.

The Jackson Square Historic District contains almost all of the surviving commercial buildings from the 1850s and 1860s. Deeply rooted in design, art, and architecture, the neighborhood dates back to the California Gold and Silver Rush-eras. The waterfront location led to Jackson Square's use for mercantile and financial purposes, consulates and offices. Now, this vital area has expanded to become San Francisco’s premier destination for design, award-winning restaurants, fashion, and the fine and decorative arts. This vibrant mix makes for a neighborhood that’s lively and modern, yet celebrates its roots and historic charm.
