Coupar Visits Dolby Chadwick Gallery
Last week, Coupar attended a private showing at Dolby Chadwick Gallery, hosted by the ever-so-lovely, Founder, Lisa Dolby Chadwick, and Gallery Director, Melanie Ross. At the entrance, abstract oil on canvas paintings by the late Charley Brown greeted us. From there Lisa, Melanie and gallery Preparator Christopher Tandy showed us works by John DiPaolo, Ian Kimmerly, Jaq Chartier, Guy Diehl, Edwige Fouvry, and Ann Weber, among others.
Lisa established the gallery in 1997, initially as a place for artists to receive recognition. Since it’s inception, the gallery has represented an international roster of emerging and mid-career artists. She also shared that she and her team choose a diversity of art, styles that range from photorealism to abstraction. Whether she feels drawn to an artist is entirely subjective–so long that each piece sparks and insights a visual experience. Below, you can find a photo series of some of our favorite works that we had the pleasure of viewing during our visit.
