This month, Roshie gives us a sneak peek into Coupar and a few of her favorite things!
What attracted you to Coupar?
I loved the idea of working with several designers as opposed to working in a traditional firm under one principal. This has given me the opportunity to work closely with multiple designers who have different and unique approaches to projects. In this type of environment, I feel that we are all constantly growing and evolving.
What is your favorite interior design style?
As a designer, I have always been attracted to a broad spectrum of design styles. I love a great contemporary design with natural warm finishes and I find that it’s the small details that will make or break any room. My cultural background plays a big role in my design aesthetic. My mother exposed me to the beauty of Persian rugs and different Iranian textiles with vibrant colors. I can see how that had also permeated into my designs today.
What’s your favorite color and why?
I’m definitely more of a neutral tones girl but lately I’m very much drawn to deep green/emerald tones.
What's one item you wish you could have in your home?
All silk saturated Persian rug
What is your favorite restaurant?
Los Altos Grill
If you could go anywhere in the world, where would it be?
What is your favorite spring activity?
I love to be outdoors when the weather starts warming up-hiking, tennis, frisbee you name it!
Who do you admire and why?
My mother has always been a strong pillar of strength and drive in our family. She was the first creative person I connected with in my life. She encouraged me to tap into my creative side and never let me doubt my dreams of being a designer.
What is your favorite hobby?
It can vary widely depending on my mood. I love party planning and creating flower arrangements...but I also love a good murder mystery book.
What is one thing on your bucket list?
Learning to salsa dance...in Spain!
